<p>As a Powder Coat Assistant, you will be assisting the Powder Coat Technicians.</p> <p>Currently there is an opening for a Powder Coat Assistant in our Panels division on 1st shift (6:30a - 2:30p.)</p> <p>Panels Powder Coat Assistant: Starting at $18.90 per hour on 1st Shift!</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Measure concentrations of chemical tanks </li><li>Maintain daily log of chemical concentrations and operating parameters </li><li>Assist powder coat technician making corrections to tank chemical concentrations </li><li>Verify correct quality, color, and material to be used. </li><li>Verify materials against work orders to confirm proper type and quantity; prioritize them. </li><li>Assist with staging materials for production </li><li>Assist with making proper settings to oven and paint booth </li><li>Clean up cardboard, scrap and skids </li><li>Communicate to the powder coat technician on material shortages and disposition of scrap material. </li><li>Maintain communications with the powder coat technician within the extrusions and doors area </li><li>Load and unload baskets for dip tank system </li><li>Move materials to and from powder coat department </li><li>Clean and maintain paint booth, application room, and surrounding area </li><li>Perform daily inspection of equipment for safety and proper working order </li><li>Advise the powder coat technician and/or supervisor of any needed repairs </li><li>Complete necessary paperwork </li><li>Fill out non-conforming material paperwork as required </li><li>Assist other departments as needed. </li><li>Read and follow work instructions verbal and written </li><li>Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery </li><li>Participate in improving our product, processes, and equipment and methods </li><li>Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner </li><li>Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times. </li><li>Continually looking for ways to improve job efficiency and performance </li><li>Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Strong attention to detail </li><li>Mechanically inclined </li><li>Ability to work overtime </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). </li></ul>
