The Production Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a specific business unit within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, operational oversight, and leadership of cross-functional teams to achieve the business unit's objectives. The Production Shift Manager drives growth, profitability, and efficiency, ensuring that the unit aligns with the broader goals and vision of the company. Here's more of what you'll get to do: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the business unit's strategic plan, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify growth opportunities, including new markets, products, and services, and create actionable plans to capitalize on them. Set clear goals and KPIs for the business unit, monitoring performance and adjusting strategies as needed. Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure profitability by managing costs, optimizing revenue streams, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making informed decisions to enhance financial performance. Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective operations within the business unit, including production, supply chain, sales, and customer service. Implement and maintain operational standards, processes, and procedures to drive quality and efficiency. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., HR, IT, Marketing) to support the business unit's operations and objectives. Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Recruit, hire, and retain top talent, ensuring the team has the skills and expertise needed to achieve the business unit's goals. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Customer and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders. Ensure that the business unit consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations in terms of product quality, delivery, and service. Act as the primary point of contact for the business unit, representing it to senior management and external stakeholders. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation within the business unit, encouraging new ideas and approaches to improve products, services, and processes. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep the business unit ahead of the curve. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that the business unit operates in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies. Identify and manage risks, implementing mitigation strategies to protect the business unit's assets and reputation. Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards within the business unit. What we require: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a relevant industry, with a proven track record of managing business operations and driving growth. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience with change management and leading through transformation is a plus. What we prefer: Experience in a similar industry or business environment. Proficiency with ERP systems and business analytics tools. Experience working in a global or multi-location environment. Work Environment: Office-based with occasional travel to other company sites, or industry events. May require extended hours during peak periods or to meet critical deadlines.
