For more information, please visit www.ergotron.com.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Planning and Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials required for Murfreesboro (hereafter TNE) production while balancing inventory levels and meeting forecast and customer demands. This role leads a team of Buyers and Planners working with suppliers, production and other cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute purchasing and material planning strategies that align with business goals. </li><li>Attain Ergotron's inventory performance KPI (key performance indicator). </li><li>Manage and develop individual team members and departmental competencies. </li><li>Develop, implement, and sustain SIOP (sales, inventory, operations planning) process. </li><li>Lead a team of Buyers and Planners to update and maintain appropriate system attributes to efficiently drive MRP signal output. </li><li>Collaborate with the IT department to ensure that the ERP system is efficiently and optimally utilized to support accurate and appropriate data flow. </li><li>Coordinate with Customer Service, Logistics, Sourcing, and Production teams to ensure materials are available to meet order fulfillment as well as production due dates. </li><li>Communicate supply issues and risks as well as mitigation plans to Ergotron business units and affiliates. </li><li>Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory. Implement strategies to reduce inventory investment and improve turnover rates. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements (Knowledge and Experience):</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience. </li><li>Experience in manufacturing or production environment. </li><li>6+ years of relevant experience </li><li>2+ years of people management experience </li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively with outside resources and all levels of internal resources. </li><li>Extensive ERP/MRP experience is highly preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge on SIOP, S&OP and/or IBP preferred. </li><li>Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent (preferred). </li><li>Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles preferred. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>At Ergotron, we are committed to moving you forward with leading benefits and reward programs.
