The technician will work closely with engineers on our new product development team to support solutions for product evaluation and customer sampling.</p> <p>The technician will play a key role in building and testing innovative electronic and mechanical prototypes, pushing the boundaries of innovative technology. If you are enthusiastic about problem-solving, tinkering with electronics, and building mechanical systems, this is the perfect opportunity for you!</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Electronics Prototyping & Assembly:</p> <ul> <li>Assemble, solder, and rework through-hole and SMT components based on schematics and technical documentation. </li><li>Collaborate with engineers to test, debug, and validate new electronic designs through measurements and experiments. </li><li>Collaborate with PCB subcontractors to manage complex, high-volume circuit board assembly. </li></ul> <p>Mechanical Prototyping & Integration:</p> <ul> <li>Familiar with and be able to operate and maintain a prototype machine shop, including 3D Printers, laser cutters, and hand tools. </li><li>Assist in integrating mechanical components and electronics into fully functional systems per design specifications. </li></ul> <p>Lab & Equipment Maintenance:</p> <ul> <li>Organize and maintain electronics and prototype labs, ensuring efficient operations. </li><li>Manage inventory and calibration schedules, track supplies, and procure materials needed for prototype development. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience. </li><li>Basic understanding of electronics schematics and technical documents. </li><li>Electronics PCB assembly and rework, including fine-pitch SMT components. </li><li>Experience with mechanical drawings and blueprints. </li><li>A passion for problem-solving and tinkering. </li><li>Keep an organized lab space that is sufficiently equipped and stocked for a very agile work environment. </li></ul> <p>Bonus Points for:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with PCB design tools and/or CAD software. </li><li>Familiarity with power tools and precision equipment. </li></ul> <p>For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
