<p>Description:</p> <p>Social Worker</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Must hold an Ohio Board Social Worker license; and must hold or have the ability to get a Pupil Services License or Registration as a School Social Worker through the Ohio Department of Education.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provide social work case management for students and families </li><li>Provides parent/guardian educational workshops on identified issues related to child development, stress reduction, discipline and safety, and teacher/parent/student communication </li><li>Collaborates with school staff and other school system personnel in implementing strategies to promote student learning </li><li>Serves on both school-based and system-wide committees to address educational issues, adjustment problems, safety issues, and program development for students </li><li>Provides crisis intervention services </li><li>Conducts staff development on issues related to social, emotional, environmental factors that impact learning </li><li>Develops programs to address parent/guardian participation in the school and student engagement in the educational process </li><li>Conducts home visits related to establishing communication and positive connections </li><li>Develops a narrative for social services and parent involvement annually </li><li>Supervises and assists in training student social workers </li><li>Assists the staff in organizing and coordinating with community resources </li><li>Work with staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues that interfere with student achievement </li><li>Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop a plan of interventions </li><li>Serves on RTI and IEP teams that request social work services or consultation </li><li>Provide therapeutic intervention services to individuals, groups, and families </li><li>Provide mental health consultation </li><li>Develop programs to address the needs of students </li><li>Provide consultation regarding home/community factors impacting student achievement </li><li>Serve as school/home/community liaison </li><li>Develop partnerships with community agencies to address the needs of students </li><li>Identify and facilitate referrals for students and families to community agencies and resources </li><li>Provide parents and families with needed information regarding social services and assists them in obtaining such services </li><li>Provide family support and education </li><li>Attend program meetings, in-service training, and professional workshops and/or conferences </li><li>Crisis intervention and follow-up with support services to students, staff, and families </li><li>Perform other related duties necessary for the fulfillment of the program needs as assigned </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Commensurate with experience</p> <p>Reports To:</p> <p>Director of Student Services</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Please complete the application through the applicant tracking system at www.escco.org.</p> <p>Search "Careers"</p> <p>JobID 21673</p> <p>February 2025</p>
