<p>Washington Unified School District - W.Sac</p> <p>WASHINGTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION: STOREKEEPER SALARY RANGE: 37 GROUP: MAINTENANCE/OPERATIONS/TRANSPORTATION DATE OF ADOPTION/REVISION: 01/22/09 DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, to supervise the operation of the District warehouse and to provide on-the-job supervision to designated personnel. Typical duties will include, but are not limited to, receiving, storing, shipping and issuing school equipment and supplies; maintaining stock control and inventory systems; organizing a system for the purchase of standard warehouse supplies; coordinating quality control of warehouse materials; performing regular deliveries and pickups of materials; supervising the day-to-day work and providing job training for personnel assigned to the District warehouse. Other related duties will include assisting in keeping the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition, operating a forklift when storing and moving heavy materials, monitoring refrigeration equipment for proper operations, insuring that delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment are properly maintained and serviced, maintaining warehouse records, files and price lists, assisting in the pickup and delivery of cafeteria food products, and preparing reports on warehouse activities as required. Performs other related duties as assigned. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of an appropriate California operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles; maintain a driving record acceptable for coverage under District vehicle insurance programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: - Modern warehousing methods used in receiving, storing, issuing, cataloging and maintaining records of supplied and equipment, including automated systems; - Record keeping procedures associated with purchase orders, requisitions, invoices and delivery reports, including automated systems; - Stock inventory procedures; - Principles of supervision and training; - Safe work practices. AND Ability to: - Receive, check and dispense supplies and equipment; - Keep and maintain accurate and current records of warehouse transactions; - Analyze use patterns and utilize most effective methods of storage and delivery; - Pick up and deliver a variety of supplies, materials and equipment; - Operate a forklift and motor vehicles safely and efficiently; - Understand and carry out oral and written directions; - Provide on-the-job supervision and training to designated personnel; - Qualify for a fidelity bond; - Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted during the course of work. AND Training and experience: - Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain such knowledge and abilities would be: Three years of experience in work involving the receiving, storing, inventorying and issuing of supplies and equipment, including one year in a supervisory position. Physical Abilities: • Ability to stand, walk for extended periods of time • Ability to manipulate (lift, carry, push, pull, move) medium to heavy weights, up to 75 pounds • Occasionally stoop, kneel, and crouch • Leg and foot dexterity to operate vehicle and forklift • Good hand-eye coordination, arm and hand dexterity and visual acuity including depth perception to drive and read numbers and words • Ability to operate a hand truck and commercial forklift • Ability to climb stool and ladder and to reach above shoulders • Auditory ability to carry on conversations over the phone and in person • Sufficient hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity to operate a keyboard and office equipment • Ability to grasp small devices, as well as common tools.</p> <p>QualificationsPossession of an appropriate California operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles; maintain a driving record acceptable for coverage under District vehicle insurance programs.To be consideredIf you are interested in this limited interim position, please email your intent to apply.
