For approximate salary, click here:https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1753373792/capehenlopenschoolscom/yqajqc5c3byfg0vdoesy/FY26TeacherSalarySchedulesfortheweb.pdf</p> <p>BENEFITS: https://dhr.delaware.gov/benefits/education/index.shtml</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree </li><li>Must hold State of Delaware initial or continuing license </li><li>Must hold Delaware certification as an Secondary School Counselor </li><li>Must have completed and submitted online application </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:</p> <ul> <li>At least three successful years of experience working at the secondary level </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist all students in the areas of academic achievement and social/emotional development. </li><li>Provide short-term counseling to small groups and individual students. </li><li>Provide pull-out support to students in the area of social/emotional growth. </li><li>Provide referrals for individual students with identified concerns and needs to appropriate agencies. </li><li>Conduct data analysis to identify student issues, needs and challenges within the school. </li><li>Provide classroom lessons that address bullying, safety, conflict resolution, and other mental health topics. </li><li>Assist with crisis management. </li><li>Develop and follow an effective school counseling program and annual plan, consistent with the school, district and ASCA mission and vision. </li><li>Uphold ASCA ethical and professional standards. </li><li>Be a team player, an excellent communicator, and have a willingness to work strategically with parents of all students. </li><li>Attends meetings and programs, including MTSS team. </li><li>Other responsibilities as determined by the school Principal. </li></ul> <p>The foregoing statements are intended to describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and competencies that may be required.</p> <p>Current employees must submit an internal application through Recruiting & Hiring by March 21, 2026.
