<p>The Franchise Development Manager drives growth and continuity within the franchise system by managing the operational execution of franchise resales and supporting new unit development. This role maintains a strong buyer pipeline, ensures a smooth and compliant resale process, and provides early-stage candidate engagement for new franchise opportunities.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Resale and Buyer Pipeline Management</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for franchisees actively in the resale process. </li><li>Gather, prepare, and organize resale documentation, including P&Ls, valuation reports, and buyer applications. </li><li>Schedule and track transaction milestones to maintain timelines and ensure smooth deal progression. </li><li>Source and cultivate relationships with potential resale buyers, including prospects within the franchise system. </li><li>Educate prospective buyers on the brand, resale process, and performance expectations. </li><li>Conduct initial buyer vetting to assess financial capability, operational readiness, and cultural fit. </li><li>Partner with Franchise Development to move qualified resale buyers through the approval process. </li><li>Post and update resale listings on approved platforms, coordinate ad creation with vendors, and track lead sources. </li><li>Maintain a resale inquiry database in Franconnect, deploy targeted marketing campaigns, and track campaign results. </li></ul> <p>General Franchise Development Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist in generating leads for new franchise candidates across potentially multiple brands. </li><li>Conduct initial outreach, screening calls, and qualification checks for new unit prospects. </li><li>Provide candidates with brand information, process overviews, and next-step guidance. </li><li>Coordinate scheduling for meetings, discovery days, and follow-up calls. </li><li>Maintain accurate candidate records and track progression through the development pipeline. </li><li>Collaborate with the Franchise Development team to ensure seamless handoffs from early-stage contact to later-stage discussions. </li></ul> <p>Compliance and Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Ensure resale and development activities comply with brand standards, regulatory requirements, and FDD processes. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date resale SOPs, development process documentation, and marketing resources. </li><li>Generate weekly activity reports for both resale and new development pipelines. </li><li>Track KPIs, including lead sources, conversion rates, and deal timelines. </li><li>Flag potential issues to the Director, such as compliance concerns, candidate delays, or buyer readiness issues. </li><li>Support trade shows, conferences, and internal brand events as needed. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <p>This job description is intended to outline the general nature and key responsibilities of the role. Duties and responsibilities may evolve or change over time based on business needs, without advance notice.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in franchise sales, business brokerage, or small business transactions. </li><li>Demonstrated success in lead generation, candidate education, and deal facilitation. </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and candidate pipelines simultaneously. </li><li>Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Workspace. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements / Work Environment</p> <p>The physical demands required to perform the essential responsibilities of this position are as follows.
