Establishes staffing patterns based on volume, competency levels, and utilization. Reviews staff payroll and labor distribution to ensure accurate recording of time and labor. Manages daily operations, staffing, and patient flow in the Pre-post surgical areas, including endoscopy, with twenty-four-hour accountability. Oversees and coordinates supply management in collaboration with materials management, anesthesia, and sterile processing. Develops, reviews, and implements policies and procedures to meet current standards and regulatory requirements. Communicates, investigates, and follows up on significant issues, incidents, or trends, and reports to the Director. Promotes positive relationships between physicians and staff through effective communication and interaction. Actively participates in process improvement initiatives within the Surgical Services departments. Handles human resources functions, including recruitment, interviewing, selection, development, counseling, evaluation, and discipline of staff. Maintains high levels of employee engagement and job performance through recognition and learning opportunities. Ensures environmental cleanliness, order, and safety, and compliance with infection control practices in Perioperative Services.
