<p>The City of Savannah Recreation & Leisure Services Department has the perfect opportunity for you as a Recreation Activity Coordinator.  In this role you will plan, organize and execute a variety of indoor and outdoor recreational activities that will be heavily utilized in our various recreation centers. This position, under minimal supervision, is responsible for leading various activities within a recreation center or park facility, monitoring equipment buildings, and supplies. </p> <p>Submit you application today to join our team as the next Recreation Service Leader. We look forward to having you onboard.</p> <p>This position may require nights and weekend shifts</p> <ul> <li>Develop, lead and evaluate programs and activities in a recreation center or park facility. </li><li>Provide customer service, registration, and handling of funds in a recreation center or park facility through telephone, emails, web site, social media and walk in patrons and customers for information, program registration, center daily use and rentals. </li><li> Ensure safety of participants/spectators involved in after-school, summer, or other recreational programs. </li><li> Enforce rules and regulations. </li><li> Collect fees and take registrations for recreational programs and facility rentals. </li><li> Assist in light maintenance of facilities and recreational areas. </li><li> Handle inquiries and complaints from public. </li><li> Some programs may require driving a city vehicle to transport participants or commute to a different location. </li><li> Assist with department events and field trips. </li><li> May serve as the manager on duty if the Center Supervisor is not available.  </li><li> Schedules activities and facility space for various groups and organizations.  </li><li> Creates recruiting strategies for program participation. </li><li> Creates partnerships with other like agencies to maximize participation levels.  </li><li> Performs other related duties as assigned.Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by two (2) years of experience working in leisure services, education or the recreation field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. </li></ul> <p>First Aid/CPR certification required or must obtain within six (6) months of employment.
