<p>Position Title:</p> <p>School Nutrition Assistant - Part Time</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Madison High School</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>$15.00 hr</p> <p>Term:</p> <p>10 Month ~25 hours weekly (Monday-Friday)</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>Work performed includes but is not limited to breakfast preparation, serving meals, and serving as a meal service cashier.</p> <p>Individuals are also responsible for monitoring and maintaining kitchen and cafeteria areas for the purpose of ensuring a safe and sanitary working environment.</p> <p>Individuals will also be responsible for performing other duties as requested.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.</p> <p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.</p> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>High school diploma or GED preferred</p> <p>Food service experience preferred</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <p>Coordinating skills to gather items as directed by recipe</p> <p>Record keeping skills to maintain records of items, quantity used, and amount of food</p> <p>Cooking skills to provide nutritious and appealing lunch for students and staff</p> <p>Organizing skills to maintain accurate class rosters in the computer</p> <p>Analytical skills to alter recipes for larger quantity cooking</p> <p>Communication skills to communicate effectively with students and staff</p> <p>Manual skills for cleaning and food preparation</p> <p>Mechanical skills to operate kitchen equipment and utensils</p> <p>Planning skills to determine supplies needed and plan food parparation for the next day and future menus;advise manager as to how much food will be needed</p> <p>Common arithmetical functions for measuring ingredients and conversions of recipes; making change and balancing when operatin cash register</p> <p>Reports To:</p> <p>Principal, School Nutrition Director, Superintendent and/or designee</p> <p>Mr. Toby Anderson</p> <p>Email: tanderson@madisonk12.net</p>
