You will set up and efficiently run a servo-driven narrow web Flexographic Digital Hybrid Press, performing traditional flexographic printing and die-cutting to convert prime labels.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate Flexo press to produce jobs according to specifications. (Experience is a must.) </li><li>Prepare the press for printing and die-cutting. </li><li>Load substrate, install tooling, mount plates, set print impression, and adjust the press. </li><li>Ensure that substrate, ink, and tooling meet the required specifications. </li><li>Adjust ink distribution, speed, and temperature in the drying chamber. </li><li>Troubleshoot and correct print issues quickly to minimize downtime and material waste. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance, including oiling, cleaning, and minor repairs. </li><li>Mount and/or remount plates (as needed). </li><li>Mix inks (as needed). </li><li>Complete start-up checklists for all jobs run. </li><li>Set up and operate press for production. </li><li>Record stock usage. </li><li>Use strobe and/or video web monitor for in-process inspection. </li><li>Flag defective labels for rewind/inspection. </li><li>Use spectrophotometer and densitometer (as required). </li><li>Tag finished product for traceability. </li><li>Complete required paperwork upon job completion. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Training</p> <ul> <li>Mix ink </li><li>Set up and run flexo or digital press </li><li>Team player </li></ul> <p>Competency Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Pass color perception test </li><li>Ability to read a ruler and perform basic math skills with a calculator </li><li>Ability to assist in basic press maintenance </li><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>1 - 3 years of experience with flexographic printing </li></ul> <p>If you're looking to grow your career with a company that values innovation, teamwork, and craftsmanship, Inovar is the place for you!</p>
