<p>JOB SPECIFICATION</p> <p>POSITION: Behavior Interventionist - Archway Trivium</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Headmaster</p> <p>EEO Classification: Professional</p> <p>FLSA STATUS: Salaried-Exempt</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Behavior Interventionist will work with academy level staff to aid with staff training, creation, implementation, and monitoring of scholar behavior support plans and related tasks.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support general education and special education teachers in behavior system creation and implementation </li><li>Provide coaching to classroom staff implementing new behavior support plans </li><li>Meeting with site-based teams during initial implementation </li><li>Coach new teachers on classroom management strategies </li><li>Provide and model tier I/II strategies for academy staff </li><li>Collect relevant data during plan implementation and guide academy staff on behavior data collection </li><li>Assists site teams in analyzing data related to the needs of the academy </li><li>Provide behavior crisis support as needed </li><li>Fidelity check completion for behavior support plans </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years' experience working in a school setting </li><li>Experience coaching/training adults </li><li>Experience working with students with behavior difficulties </li><li>Experience creating and implementing behavior-based support plans </li></ul> <p>Special Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Outstanding oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with staff and site team members. </li><li>Ability to contribute and participate in the assessment, intervention, and documentation process. </li><li>Proficient in the use of technology. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements</p> <p>Type of fingerprint clearance: Must possess or obtain valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP fingerprint clearance card.</p> <p>Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
