<p>Shift: Varied</p> <p>Days Off: Varied</p> <p>$16.50/hour (Seasonal April-September)</p> <p>What you'll be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Bed and clean stalls in the Receiving Barn, Test Barn and Stakes Barn as needed. </li><li>Maintain shedrows in Receiving Barn and Stakes Barn. </li><li>Order, maintain and track bedding for the receiving barn, stakes barn, test barn, and outriders. </li><li>Account for and maintain equipment including water hoses, wheel barrows, pitchforks, rakes, etc. </li><li>Work with Stall Superintendant to maintain and operate the Horse Exerciser as needed. </li><li>Wash down stalls, walking ring, and winners circle. </li><li>Fill washouts and paddock drains. </li><li>Check paddock area rail and fence and make repairs as needed. </li><li>Clean bird manure, grass clippings and mulch. </li><li>Empty, wash, and refill pony water trough. </li><li>Clean sand from under paddock bricks when uneven. </li><li>Keep all equipment clean, well maintained, and set correctly. </li><li>Assist in grounds keeping after all above duties are completed. </li></ul> <p>Requirements: Knowledge of backside racing/maintenance procedures. Must have knowledge of PC computer-Windows, Excel, Microsoft Office. Ability to use rakes, shovels, and four-wheeler. Indoor and outdoor environment. Minimal travel on the backside required. Heavy physical demands. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Works around horses. Ability to stand or walk for 8 hour shift, bend, and do overhead work.</p>
