<p>The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing is seeking candidates to fill Investigator positions. The investigator will:</p> <ul> <li>Independently conduct thorough, timely investigations of complaints alleging violations of: real estate license laws (ORC 4735), real estate appraiser laws (ORC 4763), home inspector laws (ORC 4764), appraisal management company laws (ORC 4768), manufactured home dealership, broker, and salesperson laws (ORC 4781) and any other laws assigned to the Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing. </li><li>Gather factual and documentary information based on complaint; </li><li>Interview parties to a transaction and potential witnesses to determine facts of the case; </li><li>Review documentary evidence and records obtained from various sources; </li><li>Prepare memoranda of interviews and follow-up correspondence; </li><li>Assemble evidence, records and files; </li><li>Write detailed investigative reports (e.g. recitation of factual support for allegations of law violations, chronologically prepared review of facts detailing inconsistencies in testimony); </li><li>Assist in the documenting, preparing and presentation of cases by legal counsel before an administrative hearing officer, the Ohio Real Estate Commission, the Ohio Real Estate Appraiser Board, the Ohio Home Inspector Board, a court, and/or other appropriate agency; </li><li>Testify at hearings and in court proceedings regarding investigative findings; </li><li>Answer written and verbal inquiries from the public and regulated parties concerning complaints and compliance; </li><li>Perform compliance audits and reports on accounts and offices of those regulated and on continuing education providers; </li><li>Visit brokerage offices to review files and trust accounts; </li><li>Attend continuing education courses to ensure program meets all applicable standards. </li></ul> <p>What's in it for you:</p> <p>At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans.
