<p>Overview</p> <p>Concierge - Emergency Department</p> <p>Location: Mercy Hospital - A Member of Catholic Health</p> <p>Join a mission-driven team at Mercy Hospital, a 375-bed not-for-profit hospital known for compassionate care that treats the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.</p> <p>The Emergency Department Concierge provides non-clinical support to patients, families, and staff from arrival through discharge or admission.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Welcome and round on patients and families in the ED, addressing comfort needs and providing updates on status from registration to discharge/admission. </li><li>Facilitate communication between patients, families, and care teams. </li><li>Offer non-clinical services such as warm blankets, pillows, and access to resources (e.g., phone chargers, social work, chaplain). </li><li>Assist ED staff with answering call lights, addressing patient needs, and patient transport (as trained). </li><li>Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control and hospital standards. </li><li>Identify and address service recovery opportunities; escalate issues when needed. </li><li>Promote a culture of hospitality, respect, and excellent customer service. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma required. </li><li>Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (healthcare preferred). </li><li>Previous patient care experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations; adaptable and solutions-oriented. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). </li><li>Personal qualities: compassionate, empathetic, approachable, positive, and professional. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay + differentials and benefits </li><li>Tuition assistance </li><li>Defined pension plan </li><li>Supportive team and growth-friendly culture </li></ul> <p>Be part of something bigger.
