<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Leader supports the AVP of the Staffing Center of Excellence in executing enterprise-wide staffing and scheduling strategies across Intermountain Health. This position is accountable for driving performance and ensuring consistency in scheduling, deployment, and contingent workforce management across regions. The Leader partners with HR, DTS, clinical operations, and finance teams to align staffing strategies with organizational goals and regulatory compliance. This role has direct oversight of centralized staffing teams and ensures system-level execution of standardized workflows, policy adherence, and staffing optimization.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Leadership & Execution: Leads centralized staffing operations, ensuring consistency in daily scheduling, resource allocation, and workload balancing across all inpatient facilities. </li><li>System Integration: Supports the adoption and optimization of workforce systems, including scheduling platforms, timekeeping systems, and agency management tools. </li><li>Operational Performance: Monitors key staffing metrics (e.g., fill rates, cost per shift, overtime) and implements strategies to improve performance. </li><li>Contingent Labor Oversight: Manages day-to-day agency staffing operations, including vendor coordination and shift deployment. </li><li>Workforce Coordination: Collaborates with nursing and operational leaders to meet staffing needs and align with care delivery goals. </li><li>Compliance & Governance: Ensures adherence to staffing policies, licensure requirements, and state-specific workforce regulations. </li><li>Process Improvement: Leads ongoing evaluations of staffing workflows to reduce variation and enhance efficiency. </li><li>Data Reporting: Oversees team performance dashboards and reports staffing trends to the AVP and executive leadership. </li><li>Team Development: Mentors Managers and Assistant Managers to build a high-performing centralized staffing function. </li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Acts as a liaison with DTS, HR, and Finance to support enterprise staffing priorities. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Human Resources </li><li>Leadership </li><li>Workforce Planning & Staffing </li><li>Employee Development </li><li>Staffing </li><li>Operational Efficiency </li><li>Healthcare </li><li>Finance </li><li>Analytics </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in nursing, a clinical specialty, healthcare admin, human resources, or related field from an accredited institution (degree verification required). </li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare staffing and/or scheduling across multiple facilities. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., UKG), timekeeping systems, and agency staffing workflows. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in nursing, clinical specialty, healthcare admin, human resources, or related field. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. </li><li>Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. </li><li>Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc. </li><li>May have the same physical requirements as those of clinical or patient care jobs, when the leader takes clinical shifts. </li><li>For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles. </li></ul> <p>With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary.
