These positions are available in the Carol A. Ammon College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (2), College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and the School of Engineering, Science, and Technology. We seek qualified applicants who will provide administrative support to the Dean, playing a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the School or College. Please visit Central's website to learn more.</p> <p>Position Profile</p> <p>The Assistant Dean will help foster student success, academic excellence, and community engagement within the respective School or College and will serve as a vital liaison between the School/College and key University offices ensuring compliance with University, System, Federal and State rules, regulations, and policies, including, but not limited to, FERPA, Title IX, ADA, and the Clery Act. Duties include providing academic guidance regarding academic program selection, course registration, and progression through degree requirements to addressing concerns related to academic programs including student progress, complaints, grade appeals, dismissals, and academic misconduct and providing conflict resolution support. They will also monitor student academic performance, identify at-risk students, and implement interventions. The incumbent will represent the college or school at internal and external events. The Assistant Dean will organize student events and activities, including orientation, career fairs, and alumni networking opportunities. This is a highly collaborative, student-centered leadership role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on institutional goals through collaboration, development, engagement and retention initiatives.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations as well as University and BOR/CSCU policies and procedures; Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices in working with specialized student populations; Extensive knowledge of and ability to coordinate and conduct programming and outreach; Considerable ability to use computers, computerized systems, platforms and software including Microsoft Office Suite; Proficient interpersonal skills and presentation skills including use of presentation software; Oral and written communication skills required; Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; Ability to collect, analyze, and prepare data. Ability to prepare reports and other materials; Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collegial manner with students, faculty, staff, administration, and the public.
