<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <ul> <li>Travels between (3) outpatient clinics to meet clinic need and provide direct care in the department of psychiatry. </li><li>Escorts patients to exam room and prepares for MD or APRN </li><li>Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, review of medications, screening tools; confirming purpose of the visit and enters into medical record. </li><li>Accurately obtains and records vital signs </li><li>Maintains effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow in accordance with agency standards </li><li>Ensures lab results are reviewed and signed by provider and disseminated as needed. </li><li>Will participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of client's treatment or health/mental health care plans. </li><li>Maintains Environment of Care (EOC) and assigned checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency bags/medications, expired medications, oxygen, eye wash station) </li><li>Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to appointment and determines needed services per practice protocol. </li><li>Performs outreach to engage patients as needed. </li><li>Completes program discharges when appropriate per agency policy and procedures. </li><li>Performs administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing prior authorizations, messages, telephone calls, referrals etc. </li><li>May perform office procedures including but not limited to CLIA waived point of care testing, EKG, and phlebotomy as ordered by a medical provider. </li><li>Performs all other duties as required. </li><li>All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings* </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>High school graduate with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a behavioral health care setting or Medical Assistant training with two years of Community/Behavioral Health Care experience. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EHRs preferred. Bilingual highly preferred.
