<p>The Audiologist determines the type and degree of hearing impairment and implements rehabilitation services. The Audiologist administers and interprets a variety of tests to determine impairment, site of damage, and the effects on comprehension and/or speech. The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Must be able to interact with physicians on patient outcomes. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System. Has responsibility towards supervision of technical and clerical staff in the direct care and the operational aspects of the department. Has access to confidential patient information.</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Practices Audiology consistent with, and is knowledgeable of the ASHA Code of Ethics, state practice guidelines and the policies and procedures of Adena Health System. </li><li>Effective time management skills including ability to meet productivity standards. </li><li>Strong communication skills with all customers (patients, physicians, vendors, staff, etc.) with positive outcomes. </li><li>Able to complete all documentation requirements within timelines and with high quality. </li><li>Must show initiative and follow through in accomplishing goals. </li><li>Supports and participates in process improvement efforts of the department and the Health System. </li><li>Strong customer service and teamwork skills with effective use of service recovery methods. </li><li>Achieves high quality patient outcomes through continued professional development and usage of evidence based practice. </li></ul> <p>Minimum/Required Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Audiology </li><li>Certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association </li><li>State of Ohio Audiology License </li><li>CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>2 years experience in a healthcare setting delivering direct patient care </li><li>Doctorate in Audiology (Au. D.) </li></ul>
