We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world's toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.</p> <p>DESCRIPTION</p> <p>How will you make an impact?</p> <p>Perform duties or necessary functions to produce Zeta Plus media stock in compliance with good manufacturing practices and quality standards.</p> <p>What will you do?</p> <ul> <li>Perform duties in compliance with good manufacturing practices as described or detailed in work instructions </li><li>Follow standard MLC's, work instructions/SWF regarding mixtures, quantities, times and product quality </li><li>Ensure correct materials are available and being used </li><li>Operate computer equipment in order to properly carry out functions in preparing various stocks </li><li>Operate fork truck or material handling equipment in order to carry out stock prep functions </li><li>Run various tests associated with job requirement, i.e. freeness testing, PH test and slurry temperature testing </li><li>Carry out air flow and tensile testing on occasion </li><li>Seek advice or assistance as necessary, regarding batch formulations, quality standards, machine functions, and other related matters or problems </li><li>Observe all plant rules and safety regulations </li><li>Complete necessary sign off on required documents </li><li>Keep workstations neat, clean and orderly </li><li>Carry out minor repair or maintenance functions </li><li>Perform other related duties as required or jobs involving similar qualifications as required </li><li>Handle hazardous waste as needed </li><li>Perform regular preventative maintenance </li><li>Perform regular tank cleanings </li><li>Maintain current training on LOTO and Confined Space Entry as part of regular tank cleaning tasks </li><li>Complete other miscellaneous duties (including training) as assigned by department supervision/leadership </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>How will you get here?</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Able to use simple measuring devices </li><li>Basic math skills </li><li>Basic reading skills </li><li>Ability to operate fork truck </li><li>Able to wear respirator </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements / Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Heavy physical effort (up to 50 lbs) </li><li>Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts </li><li>Must perform all essential functions of the position as identified on the applicable Employer Job Description maintained in the Occupational Health Office </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $20.72-$31.09.</p> <p>This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
