<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Java/JEE Developer (Entry Level) to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.</p> <p>This position is 100% on-site for the first year of employment.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, implement, and unit test REST microservices with Java, Spring, and JUnit </li><li>Develop web applications with Angular that communicate with backend microservices </li><li>Write complex SQL queries and perform data modeling </li><li>Work collaboratively within a large, Agile development team </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field </li><li>Strong foundational knowledge or Java with at least 1 year of Java J2EE/JEE design and software development experience including designing, developing, and documenting large-scale enterprise software systems </li><li>Spring Boot </li><li>Spring REST/SOAP web services </li><li>Angular </li><li>React </li><li>HTML/Javascript/CSS </li><li>XML/JSON </li><li>SQL </li><li>JPA/Hibernate </li><li>Java web application development required </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in computer science or related field is a plus </li><li>Recent and relevant course projects, internships, co-ops, or personal work showcasing backend development skills would be a plus </li><li>Experience with Spring WebFlux and R2DBC </li><li>Experience with microservices architecture </li><li>Experience with JMS and/or Kafka </li><li>Familiar with AWS </li><li>Comfortable with Eclipse and Visual Studio Code </li><li>Agile development approach </li><li>Strong initiative: must be able to take a high-level requirement, ask questions/seek clarifications, and get the job done </li><li>Ability to work in a high-pressured, tight-deadline environment </li><li>Must be able to multitask efficiently and progressively and work comfortably in an ever-changing data environment </li><li>Must work well in a team environment as well as independently </li><li>Excellent verbal/written communication and problem solving skills; ability to communicate information to a variety of groups at different technical skill levels </li></ul> <p>Customer Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Clearance - Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation </li><li>Citizenship - Must be a US Citizen </li><li>Location - Required to be on-site in Ashburn, VA 5 days per week for the first year of employment.
