Your responsibilities will include protecting the premises and personnel by staying on patrol, monitoring surveillance equipment, and conducting thorough building inspections. Together, we can provide a secure foundation for student success-one student at a time.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Performs regular patrols of college property to secure and monitor buildings and grounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs routine opening and closing of buildings.</p> </li><li> <p>Opens facilities for special functions, and provides security as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Responds to emergencies, administers first aid, investigates incidents and completes detailed reports on activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Remains vigilant for criminal activity and coordinates with the Ogden Police department regarding criminal matters.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts periodic checks of college buildings and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Interacts with campus visitors and staff to provide assistance as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors surveillance cameras and access controls.9. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  </p> <ol> <li> <p>Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a valid Utah driver license; a favorable background check; and be eligible to obtain a Utah security license.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related field is preferred but not required.</p> </li><li> <p>Firearms training and proficiency is a plus. </p> </li></ol> <p>4. Spanish-speaking proficiency desirable. </p> <p>Note: Ogden Weber Technical College will provide all training, licensing, and uniform.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Climbing: Includes ladders, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc. </li><li>Stooping: Bending downward and forward at the waist.
