<ul> <li> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Education</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to write and do simple arithmetic, ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with limited supervision. Mechanical aptitude helpful. Must have a high school diploma or GED.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience preferred. An inexperienced worker will need three to five days of instructions and at least 30 days on-the-job training under the direction of the Assistant Director to perform satisfactorily.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical</p> </li><li> <p>This is a safety sensitive position. Frequent exposure to dust and fumes. Exposure to chemical, electrical and mechanical hazards, blood and body fluids. Operates floor machines, battery operated and electrical equipment including: vacuum cleaner, buffer, scrubber, and wet vacuum. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping. Lifting up to 100lbs, carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs via a piece of equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>Principal duties involve cleaning and disinfecting, surgery rooms, utility rooms, ancillary areas, public areas, trash and refuse removal and proper disposal of infectious and non-infections waste. For the Transporter Equip Tech, responsible for transporting patients to and from their room to various departments for testing and procedures. Must communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, department managers. Performs various duties and assists in the care of the patient as assigned by the Director or Manager.</p> </li></ul>
