<p>Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services/Registrar, performs administrative duties and essential functions to support and facilitate admissions processing. </p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assists potential students with completing admissions requirements </li><li>Contacts applicants who have not completed the admissions process </li><li>Generates admissions reports for applicants who have completed the admissions process </li><li>Develops and maintains general correspondence related to admissions </li><li>Enters waivers in Colleague as directed by the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services/Registrar </li><li>Evaluates GED and HiSET scores for placement purposes </li><li>Determines accreditation status for RISE waiver purposes </li><li>Contacts applicants who are not US Citizens to obtain necessary residency documentation </li><li>Updates terms and major list on the CFNC admissions application </li><li>Schedules applicants for placement testing as needed </li><li>Calculates unweighted cumulative high school GPA as needed </li><li>Assists with entering transfer credit as needed </li><li>Completes clerical tasks and assists with projects and other administrative duties as necessary </li><li>Serves as a backup to the Student Development Receptionist and Curriculum Records Specialist </li><li>Serves on institutional committees as appointed </li></ul> <p>Knowledge of</p> <p>Principles and practices of PC's and related software.</p> <p>Policies, procedures, and processes in the office to which assigned.</p> <p>Computerized record systems.</p> <p>Ability to</p> <p>Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.</p> <p>Operate a PC and related software.</p> <p>Respond to inquiries generated by administrators, faculty, students, and the general public. </p> <p>Organize work priorities and handle duties during peak workload times.</p> <p>Establish effective working relationships with administrators, faculty, students, and the general public.</p> <p>Maintain accurate records and generate reports in a timely manner and in the appropriate format.</p> <p>Perform work independently, prioritize work, and solve problems as they arise.</p> <p>College-wide Expectations</p> <p>WCC places a high value on creating an engaged, collaborative campus environment; therefore, employees are required to complete their work hours in person on WCC's campus.
