<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Poison Center Community Outreach Educator will engage the community through various activities and educational events to support the Poison Center's mission. Utilizing data to assess community needs, the Educator will plan, implement, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based programs focused on poison safety, injury prevention, and related public health topics. Responsibilities include coordinating, traveling to, and presenting educational sessions to diverse populations both in-person and virtually. The Educator will be responsible for covering their assigned geographical region, maintaining relationships with the public, community partners, and organizations, and seeking new collaboration opportunities. Additionally, the Educator will analyze program outcomes, track participation, and evaluate effectiveness. Duties are performed in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital, The Florida Poison Information Center Tampa, and The Florida Poison Information Network.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree Health Education/Promotion Or Bachelor's Degree Public Health Or Bachelor's Degree Education Or Bachelor's Degree Related Field</p> </li><li> <p>Three (3) years work experience with community education focus, providing presentations, event and project management, needs assessments, strong organizational skills and ability to analyze and act on data outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual in English and Spanish, ability to read, write and speak clearly and distinctly.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven skill in writing for publication or brochure creation.</p> </li><li> <p>Available to travel to and participate in outreach events in the community on weekends and evenings, as determined by schedule - Highly Preferred</p> </li></ul>
