TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p> <ul> <li>Level II Trauma Center </li><li>Primary Stroke Center </li><li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li><li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li><li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. </li></ul> <p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices.</p> <p>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Specialized research professional working with and under the direction of a Principal Investigator (PI) who is primarily responsible for overall design and conduct of research. </li><li>Supports, facilitates, and coordinates daily clinical research activities and plays a critical role in conducting the study and associated regulatory compliance. </li><li>Works with PI, department, sponsor, and institution to support and provide guidance on administering compliance, financial, personnel, and other related aspects of the clinical study. </li><li>Reports directly to Director/Clinical Research/OI and indirectly ("dotted line") to PI (who oversees incumbent's day-to-day activities) and department service line administrator (SLA). </li></ul> <p>Reports:</p> <p>Manager/Clinical research (job code (JC): 025501) or Director/Office of Research (JC: 245202)</p> <p>Supervises:</p> <p>None</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY</p> <p>Required Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in allied health, health information management (HIM), nursing, public health, or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in allied health, HIM, nursing, public health, or equivalent. Education in healthcare and/or research related fields. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience:</p> <ul> <li>One (1) year of relevant job-related experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience:</p> <p>Two (2) or more years of clinical research experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. </li><li>Understanding of regulations for Protection of Human Subjects, 45 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 46, and 21 CFR 50. </li><li>Understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy rules and regulations. </li><li>Basic knowledge of data management. </li><li>Familiarity with data abstraction. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with proven written, presentation, and verbal competencies. </li><li>High degree of planning and organizational skills. </li><li>Computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook. </li><li>Strong ability to work autonomously. </li><li>Strong ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while demonstrating excellent customer service. </li><li>Ability to work well in a team, manage conflict, and resolve problems effectively. </li><li>Ability to attend routine study-specific research meetings and monthly research coordinator meetings. </li></ul> <p>Required Certification/License/Registry:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) credential from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) within three (3) years of employment required.
