<p>Join Stamford Hospital's Interventional Radiology Department in the role of the Advanced Practice Manager provide leadership to the interdisciplinary care team performing high-tech and lifesaving procedures. The VIR Advanced Practice Manager is responsible for the coordination and deployment of nursing care resources in the procedural areas of VIR, Radiology and the Holding Area whilst providing support to the clinical staff to optimize the care delivery process and the patient experience. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring institutional and departmental goals in alignment with the strategic plan of the organization, performing individual performance evaluations, and scheduling. Clinical responsibilities include performing procedural assessments, managing patient care plans, educating patients and families, obtaining informed consent, and providing direct care during interventional radiology procedures.</p> <p>Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday. No weekends, no holiday, and no call required. Offers shift start and end time flexibility and occasional remote work flexibility.</p> <ul> <li>Provide clinical expertise and management support to the Interventional Radiology staff in the delivery of patient care consistent with AACN standards and Stamford Hospital policy and procedures. </li><li>Participate in and support the development, implementation and evaluation of unit goals, objectives, policies/procedures and standards of care which contribute to the achievement of the organization's strategic plan. </li><li>Participate in the development and planning of the budget. </li><li>Coordinate the daily activities of the unit consisting of responsibilities related to fiscal management, quality, safety, patient throughput and staff supervision as well as regulatory site visits. </li><li>Assist with the management and deployment of staffing and resources for Vascular Interventional Radiology areas for the purposes of schedule planning and weekly payroll. </li><li>Employ critical thinking skills to respond to daily unit needs and those required for managing emergencies. </li><li>Directs the orientation of new employees in collaboration with the preceptor. </li><li>Participate in and supports unit based activities related to performance improvement and risk management. </li><li>Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner Master's program </li><li>Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut </li><li>Certification as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC. </li><li>ACLS required. </li></ul>
