<p>Java Full Stack (FSE) Lead</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Java Full Stack Engineer (FSE) Lead to join our team. This role requires a strong background in Core Java, modern front-end technologies, and cloud-native development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading development teams, delivering end-to-end solutions, and driving innovation through modern software engineering practices.</p> <p>Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and mentor a team of developers across the full software development lifecycle. </li><li>Drive end-to-end project delivery, from requirements gathering to deployment and support. </li><li>Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and agile methodologies. </li><li>Design and develop scalable backend services using Core Java (Java 8+), J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. </li><li>Apply design patterns and object-oriented principles to build robust and maintainable systems. </li><li>Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS. </li><li>Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing front-end solutions. </li><li>Develop and deploy applications on AWS, leveraging services such as S3, SQS, SNS, ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch. </li><li>Ensure cloud-native best practices are followed for scalability, security, and performance. </li><li>Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders. </li><li>Diagnose and resolve production issues and defects efficiently. </li><li>Stay current with emerging technologies and conduct POCs to evaluate their potential impact. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java development. </li><li>Proven experience as a Technical Lead on complex software projects. </li><li>Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Java design patterns. </li><li>Solid experience with AWS cloud services and deployment strategies. </li><li>Proficiency in Angular, Node.js, HTML, and CSS for front-end development. </li><li>Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. </li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect). </li><li>Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. </li><li>Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. </li></ul> <p>Applications will be accepted until September 9th, 2025</p> <p>The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.</p> <p>This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.</p> <p>Benefits: Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:</p> <p>Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurance</p> <p>Paid holidays plus Paid Time Off</p> <p>401(k) plan and contributions</p> <p>Long-term/Short-term Disability</p> <p>Paid Parental Leave</p> <p>Employee Stock Purchase Plan</p> <p>Disclaimer: Benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
