<p>We are growing and seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Circuit Board Hand Solderer to join our manufacturing team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for precisely assembling and soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet quality standards for our high-tech products. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a steady hand to ensure every connection is strong and reliable.</p> <p>Opening on 2nd Shift!</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Thursday (4pm to 2:30am) </li></ul> <p>The Hand Solder role is unique for individuals who like to use precision hand tools and soldering components like surface mount and through-hole.</p> <p>Who are we?</p> <p>Founded in 1849, Ducommun is the oldest company in California. We specialize in electronic and structural systems, providing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications.</p> <p>Our Facility in Tulsa, OK manufactures state-of- art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense.</p> <p>Why Ducommun?</p> <ul> <li>Excellent company culture - as recognized by Newsweek's Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces </li><li>Clean and climate controlled working environment </li><li>Opportunity for career growth </li><li>Great benefits including paid vacation and sick time, 401 (K) match, Employee Stock Purchase Program, annual bonus plan, and tuition reimbursement </li></ul> <p>Job Summary & Essential Functions:</p> <p>Build through-hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.</p> <ul> <li>Manually assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards according to manufacturing instructions and schematics. </li><li>Precisely solder components, wires, and other parts to circuit boards, ensuring strong electrical and mechanical connections. </li><li>Conduct quality inspections of soldered boards for defects, such as bad joints, bridging, or component placement errors. </li><li>Perform minor rework and repairs on circuit boards as needed. </li><li>Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies </li><li>Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements </li><li>Responsible for the proper handling of product and components </li><li>Perform work with minimal supervision and instruction </li><li>Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. </li><li>Maintain necessary records </li><li>Perform other assignments as required </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in hand soldering electronic components onto circuit boards. </li><li>Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and focus on quality. </li><li>Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions </li><li>Proficiency with soldering irons, and other hand soldering tools. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, schematics, and diagrams. </li><li>Familiarity with electronic components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, etc.) and their proper handling. </li><li>Experience with different types of solder and flux. </li><li>Intermediate level computer skills </li><li>IPC Certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001) are a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands (reasonable accommodations may be made, if necessary):</p> <p>Physical Abilities Lift /Carry</p> <p>Stand - N/A 10 lbs or less - Continuously</p> <p>Walk - N/A 11-20 lbs - Occasionally</p> <p>Sit - Continuously 21-50 lbs - Occasionally</p> <p>Climb - N/A 51-100 lbs - N/A</p> <p>Crawl - N/A Over 100 lbs - N/A</p> <p>Squat or Kneel - Occasionally</p> <p>Bend - Occasionally Push / Pull</p> <p>Fine Manipulation - Continuously 10 lbs or less - Continuously</p> <p>Reach Outward - Occasionally 10-20 lbs - Occasionally</p> <p>Reach Above Shoulder - Occasionally 20-50 lbs - Occasionally</p> <p>Drive - N/A 50-100 lbs - N/A</p> <p>Over 100 lbs - N/A</p> <p>N/A (Not Applicable) - Activity is not applicable to this occupation.</p> <p>Occasionally - Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (.25 - 2.5 hrs/day).</p> <p>Frequently - Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5 hrs/day).</p> <p>Continuously - Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day).</p> <p>Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Licenses, Certifications, etc.:</p> <p>Must be able to successfully pass IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications</p> <p>Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:</p> <ul> <li>Required to wear PPE as needed </li><li>Moderate noise levels </li><li>Exposure to light manufacturing </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>11616 East 51st Street</p> <p>Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74146</p> <p>United States</p>
