Virtus and our investment managers offer opportunities across the country.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The Associate Product Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight, management, development, and positioning of assigned investment managers and strategies across product lines to ensure quality and marketability. The position assists the product management team in providing timely and transparent information to support client education and retaining assets across distribution channels.</p> <p>This position is based in Hartford, CT and is currently 3 days in office/2 days remote.</p> <p>Primary Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support investment oversight activities for assigned managers and strategies. </li><li>Maintain a thorough understanding of all aspects of assigned managers and strategies including investment processes, performance, product structures, and competition. </li><li>Serve as the liaison between Portfolio Management and Sales and Marketing teams to help position and market product lines. </li><li>Act as Subject Matter Expert to internal constituencies. </li><li>Provide tactical assistance regarding all aspects of product positioning, including competitive analytics. </li></ul> <p>Ideal Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. </li><li>MBA preferred. </li><li>Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the financial services industry experience. </li><li>Series 7 preferred. </li><li>Progress toward professional designation (i.e. CFA, CAIA) preferred. </li><li>Proven interpersonal skills working with external and internal contacts. </li><li>Strong understanding of financial markets, investment concepts, and economics. </li><li>Strong analytical capabilities. </li><li>Strong team player. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. </li><li>Proficient understanding of a variety of database technologies including, but not limited to, Morningstar Direct, Y-Charts, eVestment, and FactSet. </li><li>Strong Excel skills required-link databases, pivot tables, lookups, etc. </li><li>Self-directed and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of departments at all levels of the organization. </li><li>Commitment to continuous learning. </li></ul> <p>The base salary range is $86,000 to $105,000.</p> <p>The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.</p>
