The School of Computer, Data, and Information Sciences (CDIS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a Learning Center Coordinator to join our collaborative and growing team. You'll work with tutors and students to ensure a smooth process, resolving issues as they arise. </li><li>Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with tutors and students, offering support and training while also managing daily operations. You'll use your organizational and communication skills to help create an efficient and positive environment for all. </li><li>Administrative Excellence: As part of a team, you will have the opportunity to make data-driven recommendations for improving the Learning Center's processes and operations, ensuring that services run smoothly and effectively. </li><li>Front-Desk Support for Academic Advising: Serve as the first point of contact for students seeking academic advising, providing assistance, answering questions, and scheduling advising appointments. You'll be the first face students see when they come for help with their academic planning and will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive atmosphere. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>Communication Skills: You'll need to be an effective communicator, able to engage with students, staff, and faculty in both verbal and written forms. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.</p> <ul> <li>10% Identifies, designs, plans, delivers, and evaluates academic support center programming and student resources </li><li>20% Schedules logistics and secures resources for academic support center programming </li><li>10% Assists students in assessing their interests, skills, and values; and assists with processing applications to match appropriate fields of study and career options </li><li>20% Identifies and refers students to appropriate institutional resources and follows-up on referrals </li><li>25% Coordinates and supports delivery of center programs, including application processing and intake/center program offering-related advising, in support of quality delivery of student support services </li><li>5% Participates in the campus-wide advising community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college </li><li>10% Provides supervisory authority for student workers </li></ul> <p>Institutional Statement on Diversity:</p> <p>Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation for UW-Madison. This position may require occasional night/weekend work.</p> <p>Work Type:</p> <p>Full Time: 100%</p> <p>It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.</p> <p>Appointment Type, Duration:</p> <p>Ongoing/Renewable</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Minimum $20.00 HOURLY</p> <p>Depending on Qualifications</p> <p>The typical starting salary for this position is $41,600 - $58,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
