<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Serves as the Strategic Planner for the Office of the Adjutant General with an emphasis on Cyber integration with other local, State and Federal entities. Responsible for developing and managing the Agency's Strategic Plan, and synchronizing its execution. Works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Adjutant General for State Operations who provides general administrative and policy direction. Develops strategic plans and evaluation criteria supporting the integration of plans, programs and resources to maintain the Agency's Strategic Plan. Responsible for the Agency Senior level evaluation and assessment of progress of the initiatives and efforts. Conducts continual reviews of the Agency's Strategic Plan and provides assessments. Designs and oversees the strategic planning process through the use of administrative systems analysis and design techniques. Provides expertise and advice to Agency leadership on the integration of near, mid, and long-term strategic plans, programs, and resources. Provides input to the Agency leadership on the prioritization and allocation of resources. Develops recommendations to resolve substantive problems of strategic, business and organizational planning. Coordinates Agency strategic planning activities and coordinates with appropriate other local, State and Federal entities to synchronize with the Agency's strategic initiatives. Is encouraged to use own initiative in accomplishing tasks and duties while adhering to the policies of the Agency, and State and Federal laws and regulations.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in a strategic planning position. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Management or Strategic Studies, 5 years of experience in a strategic planning position, andextensive (minimum 5 years) knowledge and experience working in South Carolina State Government. Certification as a Strategic Planning Professional (SPP), Strategic Management Professional (SMP) or Strategic Planning Associate (SPA)</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Expert knowledge in analytical and evaluative methods and techniques on issues concerning policies, plans and programs. Able to develop recommendations to resolve substantive strategic, business and organizational planning problems; complete broad, difficult projects; assess and improve program effectiveness. Knowledge of strategic planning principles, theory, techniques and practices and able to analyze long-range planning issues in order to advise on formulation of Agency strategic policies, plans, and programs. Able to prepare long and short-range program planning guidance in support of Agency policies and objectives. Skill in oral and written communications to articulate findings and recommendations to audiences, including senior local, State and Federal officials. Works under the direct supervision of the Deputy Adjutant General for State Operations who provides general administrative and policy direction. Is encouraged to use own initiative in accomplishing tasks and duties while adhering to the policies of the Agency, and State and Federal laws and regulations. Must be able to pass a National-level background check and be eligible to be issued a Common Access Card (CAC). Individual may be required to work extended hours as required. Overnight and extended stays may be required to support ongoing operations, and during attendance at conferences, workshops, off-site meetings and seminars.
