Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Previous candidates need not reapply</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The Utilities Analyst is the liaison between the City and its utility providers ensuring open and timely communication. They will work to monitor usage, establish accountability and provide analysis of utility consumption.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Disseminate monthly utility bills, ensure proper coding, and process for payment. </li><li>Track monthly consumption, analyze trends and check for usage patterns, spike, dips, and anomalies. </li><li>Act as primary liaison with Public Electricity Utility (AEP), Retail Electricity Provider (REP) and City Utility Personnel (Gas & Water). </li><li>Establish open communication with utility providers to promote and receive information on planned infrastructure projects, planned outages, and status and duration of unplanned outages. </li><li>Collect and maintain electricity metering information for all City facilities/accounts. Coordinate connection and disconnection of services as requested. </li><li>Work with City's energy consultant to monitor energy markets, provide information for energy contract procurement, participate in contact negotiations, monitor contract usage, and provide opportunities to reduce cost. </li><li>Identify energy consumption and analyze data to make recommendations to City Executive Leadership regarding consumption, general energy conservation opportunities and programs, and possible budgetary savings. </li><li>Research energy related information for grants, rebates, and/or performance contracts. </li><li>Cultivate and maintain open communications with City department POC's & facilities personnel. </li><li>Provide analysis to departments for future year budgeting. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires a Bachelor's degree </li><li>Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience </li><li>A combination of education and pertinent experience may be considered </li><li>A valid driver's license is required.
