Here, you will receive endless support and appreciation while building a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.</p> <p>Cleveland Clinic's Nursing Education team is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) to support the growth and development of entry-level nursing support caregivers. In this impactful role, you will help ensure caregivers are equipped to deliver safe, high-quality patient care through education, guidance and professional support. By investing in the success of entry-level caregivers, NPDSs play an important role in shaping career growth opportunities within Cleveland Clinic while also contributing to positive patient outcomes.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days| full-time| 8:00am-4:30pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design, direct, implement, and evaluate educational offerings based on knowledge, skills and learning levels of nursing staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify learning needs and desires of nursing personnel.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and utilize appropriate evaluation systems to determine the effectiveness of educational activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Consult with individuals within the Nursing Institute and Ambulatory Nursing, CCF and the community regarding professional nursing practice and roles.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in the development of department specific orientation and competencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist departments in orientation of staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain a cataloging system for tracking and retrieval of all available teaching-learning resources.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)</p> </li><li> <p>2 years of recent nursing experience with demonstrated clinical expertise required, including hands-on clinical practice and experience serving as a preceptor and/or BCLS or ACLS instructor</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of education methodology such as needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, and principles of adult learning</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's Degree (Master's degree in Nursing with a non-nursing Bachelor's degree is acceptable)</p> </li><li> <p>Teaching experience beyond preceptor</p> </li><li> <p>Med/Surg experience either in unit, as a preceptor/ instructor</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in supporting the evolving needs of caregivers across multiple locations</p> </li><li> <p>Certification in specialty</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.</p> </li><li> <p>Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.</p> </li><li> <p>Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.</p> </li><li> <p>Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00</p> <p>Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
