<p>United Local School District</p> <p>POSITION POSTING</p> <p>July 22, 2025</p> <p>VACANCY NOTICE</p> <p>The Following Positions</p> <p>May Be Available In the District:</p> <p>Lunchroom Aide</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>Performs simple and routine duties in the school cafeteria to assist children and maintain orderly conduct during meal service in the United Local School District.</p> <p>DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Follows detailed instructions and defined practices and routine procedures to observe and assist pupils during cafeteria hours.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for seating classes promptly and properly and assisting students in opening cans, milk cartons, ect.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides students with needed assistance such as opening packages and encouraging students to eat their meal during the designated time frame.</p> </li><li> <p>Instructs pupils to follow health and safety practices and to observe good manners.</p> </li><li> <p>Checks the tables are clear and free of trash, spills taken up and deposited in waste cans.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains order and disciplines students as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Dismisses classes at proper time and reminds students not to leave any items on the tables.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties as requested by the school principal to facilitate monitoring functions in a school cafeteria.</p> </li></ol> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Prior experience helping children is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</p> </li><li> <p>Background Check (BCI and FBI)</p> </li><li> <p>A resident of the United Local School District is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Be neat in personal appearance.</p> </li><li> <p>Pass a physical examination prior to employment, if required.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain positive relationships with staff, administration, students, and parents.</p> </li><li> <p>Be willing to work cooperatively with other lunchroom aides to complete all work assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Length of Employment: For the school year of 2025-2026 (up to 4 1/2 hours per day)</p> </li><li> <p>Type of Contract: Limited contract for the 2025-2026 school year</p> </li><li> <p>Hours of Work: Up to four and one-half (4 1/2) hours per day according to an assigned schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Salary: Hourly rate per the OAPSE Negotiated Agreement.</p> </li><li> <p>Fringe Benefits: Per the OAPSE Negotiated Agreement.</p> </li><li> <p>Probationary Period: Ninety (90) workdays.</p> </li></ol> <p>PROCEDURE:</p> <p>If interested, make an application to:</p> <p>Frank Baker, Principal</p> <p>United Local School District</p> <p>8143 State Route 9</p> <p>Hanoverton, OH 44423</p> <p>Deadline for application is: Until position is filled.</p> <p>The United Local School District is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER and is in compliance with SECTION 504 of the REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973.</p> <p>Posted internally on July 22, 2025.</p> <p>Posted externally: August 5, 2025.</p>
