<p>The Control System Technician is responsible for completing tasks as assigned by his/her supervisor and the project manager responsible for associated projects. These tasks include: programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS) controlling and monitoring commercial building HVAC equipment. This person should also maintain open communications, deliver top quality workmanship, develop customer relationships, and complete tasks/projects timely. The Control System Technician will receive support from the General Manager, Project Manager and other office personnel.</p> <p>The following is a list of primary duties and job expectations.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for field level control service and installation of DDC Systems. </li><li>Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service control components related to DDC Systems. </li><li>Perform field controller installation and replacement including demo and wire termination </li><li>Complete project checkout including point to point commissioning. </li><li>Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings to determine wiring terminations. </li><li>Keeps management apprised of job progress and issues </li><li>Complete administrative tasks such as documenting and filling out service reports. </li><li>Meet project deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>CT E1 Masters or E2 Journeypersons License. </li><li>Minimum of 2-5years' HVAC controls experience. </li><li>Experience with Honeywell, Distech and Johnson Controls preferred. </li><li>Tridium Niagara Certification preferred. </li><li>Valid Driver License. </li><li>Must clearly communicate in verbal and written form. </li><li>Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings. </li><li>Ability to work on a team and communicate effectively with others. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other plumbing equipment. Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials. This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This job operates primarily alone and travels to different work sites each day.
