The Visitor Experience Associate also offers information and interpretation to our general admission guests and occasionally leads scheduled group tours of the Conservatory.</p> <p>This is a part-time, seasonal position working an average of 25 hours per week from May, 2025 - July, 2025.</p> <p>Compensation: $16/hour</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrates excellence in customer service for both internal and external patrons of the Conservatory.</p> </li><li> <p>Greets, acknowledges, and provides Conservatory event information to our patrons, suggests membership, processes transactions for admission tickets, memberships, and class registrations.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates accurate cash handling and reconciliation skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Administers the opening and closing procedures of the Visitor Center.</p> </li><li> <p>Answers the main phone line and responds to inquiries.</p> </li><li> <p>Makes every effort to find solutions to visitor concerns.</p> </li><li> <p>Engages patrons in formal and informal information and collection interpretation throughout the Conservatory.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally leads and interacts with scheduled group tours.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other job-related duties as assigned and demonstrates focus on serving the patrons of the Conservatory.</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 1 year cash handling and register experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work weekdays, weekends, occasional nights, and holidays.</p> </li></ul> <p>SKILLS REQUIRED AND RESULTS TYPICALLY ACHIEVED</p> <ul> <li> <p>Outstanding customer services skills displayed in a positive and friendly manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfortable meeting and engaging with patrons.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of cash procedures and register operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.</p> </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
