<p>KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Title: Restorative Justice Coordinator</p> <p>Job Title Code: 01837</p> <p>Salary Grade: RJC - starting at $39,925</p> <p>Department: School Leadership</p> <p>Reports To: Building Principal/Executive Director Student Support</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>PURPOSE OF JOB:</p> <p>This is a grant-funded position to support implementation of Restorative Justice practices within the school community.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)</p> <ul> <li>Build a strong school culture of achievement and respect based on principles of Restorative Justice. </li><li>Collaborate with other school leaders to assess and further develop implementation of the Restorative Justice Program. </li><li>Provide coaching and professional development on classroom management, classroom culture and restorative practices. </li><li>Manage student intervention referrals. </li><li>Serve as liaison between parents, staff and students when managing student discipline issues and intervention plans. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None</p> <p>To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To: (Qualifications)</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in education or relevant field. </li><li>Ability to speak clearly and concisely in written and oral communication. </li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff parents, students. </li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. </li><li>Ability to use technology, i.e., internet, e-mail, Microsoft Word, Student Data Management Software. </li></ul> <p>In Order to #LevelUp in This Role, You'll Need: (Preferred Qualifications)</p> <ul> <li>Experience facilitating restorative practice interventions with youth, families and adults. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
