<ul> <li>60% Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations in order to diagnose and treat primary care level health problems, as well as counsel patients regarding healthy lifestyle practices. Perform orders and interpret laboratory tests as needed for diagnosis and treatment in accordance with CLIA guidelines. </li><li>30% Provide primary level gynecologic care, education and guidance about contraceptive choices. </li><li>10% Participate in planning and implementation of departmental programs to educate students and develop staff. </li></ul> <p>Additional Position Information:</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A relevant master's degree </li><li>RN license in the State of Ohio </li><li>Adult or Family Health Nurse Practitioner Certification </li><li>Nurse Practitioner Certificate of Authority (COA) </li><li>Certificate to Prescribe (CTP) as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Requires a minimum of 1 year experience employed as a nurse practitioner in a college health, ambulatory care, urgent care or private physician's practice. Ability to document and maintain health related records in accordance with university procedures. </li><li>Ability to promote the health maintenance and wellness of students and staff through health counseling, screening and the development of health awareness programs and activities. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills in working with and educating a diverse university community. </li></ul> <p>Leadership:</p> <p>Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of students and/or temporary workers.</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Light physical effort involving stooping and bending. Limited discretion about walking, standing, etc. and occasionally lifting of lightweight objects (25lbs).</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Routine discomforts from exposure to moderate levels of heat, cold moisture/wetness, noise and air pollution.
