Marshall Public Schools is dedicated to our mission, "To create ONE equitable, inclusive and innovative educational community."</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Principal serves with the building Principal in relating the philosophy, aims and instructional practices of the school so that the end product of student achievement, instructional excellence and school morale may be attained. The Assistant Principal serves as the chief building administrator during the absence of the building Principal.</p> <p>WORK YEAR:</p> <p>210 Days</p> <p>SALARY:</p> <p>Range: $98,628 - $105,397</p> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <p>Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability</p> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree, preferred </li><li>State of Michigan administrative certification or meet equivalent requirements </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience at the secondary level, preferred </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge in school administration, supervision, curriculum and guidance </li><li>Demonstrated leadership in and continuous success of school improvement </li><li>Ability to interpret and use data for improved student achievement </li><li>Visible leadership, approachable by students, staff and the community </li><li>Ability to work collegially at a building and District level and on a team </li><li>Strong communication skills with a wide variety of audiences </li><li>Attendance in good standing </li></ul> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The nature of responsibilities is a reflection of the job description but is not limited to the details as outlined.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure excellence through equity and access for all students </li><li>Prepare referrals for student personnel services for health, suspension or petition into juvenile court </li><li>Assist with high school curriculum revision </li><li>Supervise the Special Education program at the high school </li><li>Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) </li><li>Assist with supervision and evaluation, as determined by the principal, of high school personnel </li><li>Serve as acting building administrator during the absence of the building Principal </li><li>Create and maintain a safe environment for students and staff </li><li>Maintain a positive, open line of communication all stakeholders </li><li>Attend all Board of Education meetings, workshops and scheduled activities, as requested </li><li>Share the load with the principal for supervision of extra-curricular activities, including evenings and weekends </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent of Schools </li></ul> <p>APPLICATION PROCESS:</p> <p>Interested applicants may provide the following:</p> <ul> <li>Letter of interest outlining qualifications </li><li>Resume </li><li>Copy of undergraduate transcripts </li><li>Copy of graduate transcripts </li><li>Copy of teaching certificate </li><li>Copy of administrator certificate, if applicable </li><li>Letters of recommendation </li><li>Minimum three (3) professional references </li><li>Online application </li></ul> <p>To access and start an application for employment, visit www.marshall.k12.mi.us; click on Employment Opportunities under District area.</p> <p>DEADLINE TO APPLY:</p> <p>Applications must be received on or before Thursday, June 5, 2025</p>
