<p>What to Expect</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to optimize production reliability and drive continuous improvement in power electronics manufacturing. The role will focus on minimizing downtime, enhancing equipment performance, and streamlining maintenance processes through data-driven strategies and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is?a proactive engineer with a passion for optimizing manufacturing systems,?highly adaptable, demonstrates a strong ability to learn, and approaches challenges with persistence and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and precision in all aspects of the work.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Optimize equipment reliability by developing and implement customized proactive maintenance tasks to eliminate recurring equipment failures, catalog and manage a database of spare parts to improve inventory control </li><li>Data-driven maintenance optimization by utilizing data analytics tools to build interactive dashboards that pinpoint high-downtime equipment stations, enabling targeted interventions to enhance throughput and reduce bottlenecks </li><li>Continuous improvement initiatives by leading incremental equipment enhancement projects with a practical, hands-on approach, utilizing reverse engineering, root cause analysis, 3D modeling, CNC machining, and advanced material selection to optimize reliability and equipment uptime </li><li>Collaborate across teams by working closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, refine manufacturing processes, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and reliability </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or equivalent experience </li><li>3+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance optimization, and manufacturing process improvements in automotive manufacturing or high-volume production environments </li><li>Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills </li><li>Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques, spare parts management, and process automation </li><li>Proficiency in data analytics tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau preferred) </li><li>Practical experience with reverse engineering, root cause analysis, CNC machining, and 3D modeling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD preferred) </li><li>Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:</p> <ul> <li>Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction </li><li>Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits </li><li>Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution </li><li>Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA </li><li>Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) </li><li>401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits </li><li>Company paid Basic Life, AD&D </li><li>Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays </li><li>Back-up childcare and parenting support resources </li><li>Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance </li><li>Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs </li><li>Tesla Babies program </li><li>Commuter benefits </li><li>Employee discounts and perks program </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
