<p>Grant funded through September 30, 2028 (position is contingent upon renewed grant funding by the terms outlined by contract through September 30, 2031)</p> <p>Associate Professor - salary range $58,936.23 - $69,066.51</p> <p>SCOPE OF WORK: To educate students in nursing as outlined in a prescribed program curriculum and to coordinate departmental initiatives and/or institutional activities that advance the mission of the college in support of the Rural Health Transformation Grant (RHT). This position shall report to the Department Chair of the Nursing at Manchester Community College.</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Teaches an assigned academic course schedule in a classroom, laboratory, and/or clinic/field experience setting as appropriate for the nursing program with a specific focus on the clinical area of medical/surgical. </li><li>Assists Department Chair as needed to address and resolve any grant-related issues, communicating when required to the CCSNH Director of Workforce Development and the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Grant Manager. </li><li>Supports Department Chair and participates as needed in statewide, regional, and Federal RHT related conferences, seminars, or meetings to ensure programmatic efforts are aligned with best practices and evidence-based models for RHT. </li><li>Demonstrates teaching effectiveness through the development of instructional materials that comply with established course content, integrate theory with applications, clearly define course goals, observe program and institutional accreditations standards, promote critical thinking and life skills, and responds to diverse academic needs. </li><li>Maintains accessibility and availability to assist students with their learning needs and advises individuals or groups of students in academic matters and exercises professional judgment in referring students to appropriate personnel. </li><li>Supervises student learning activities and academic progress and maintains accurate records of student progress and accomplishments. Consults with and interprets these to students and maintains accessibility and availability to assist students with their learning needs. </li><li>Coordinates departmental activities and operations by developing credit and non-credit programs and/or courses, sharing teaching and learning methodologies with peers, serving as an academic resource, cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships with business and industry within the field of instruction, providing leadership in the development of articulation initiatives, maintaining educational equipment and spaces, and requisitioning instructional equipment, supplies or classroom materials. </li><li>Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of college sponsored recruitment and retention activities including career and job fairs, student orientations, registrations, and award ceremonies, and/or advising student activity groups, as assigned. </li><li>Engages in professional activities related to the area of teaching specialization that partner the college with the wider community by serving on college or system teams, or participating in community-sponsored events, as assigned. </li><li>Remains technologically and pedagogically current within the specialized field of instruction through participation in relevant professional associations and educational and training activities. Utilizes appropriate instructional and administrative technologies as required for teaching effectiveness and college operations/communication. </li><li>Observes all academic policies and procedures and institutional rules and regulations and demonstrates ethical and professional behavior. </li><li>Serves on and leads college or system committees, as assigned. </li><li>Complies with all system, college, campus, state and federal rules and regulations, including, but not limited to, health and safety policies, the State of NH Policy on Sex Harassment, administrative rules, civil rights laws, etc. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education: Masters degree from a regionally accredited college or university with major study in Nursing.</p> <p>Experience: Five (5) years of teaching experience in nursing, or five (5) years of business or industry experience as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or other position directly related to the field of Nursing.</p> <p>SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience in medical/surgical.</p> <p>License/Certification: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the State of New Hampshire or be eligible for licensure. Must meet the continuing education requirements by the Board of Nursing to maintain continuing licensure. Access to transportation.</p> <p>RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Thorough knowledge of teaching methods and materials, problems and subject matter as relates to course of instruction. Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in postsecondary teaching.
