This role ensures that the organization's systems, platforms, and application landscape are integrated, scalable, secure, and aligned to business priorities.</p> <p>The EA will work closely with business leaders, product owners, engineering teams, security, and infrastructure to deliver modern, cloud-ready solutions leveraging the Azure and AWS ecosystems, contemporary integration patterns, intuitive user interfaces, and modern workflow automation capabilities.</p> <p>Location: This position will be based out of our Conshohocken, PA, Morristown, NJ, Purchase, NY, Charlotte, NC office. We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers.</p> <p>Our business, your impact, our opportunity:</p> <p>What you'll be doing:</p> <p>Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance</p> <ul> <li>Define and maintain enterprise technology architecture, standards, roadmaps, and reference models across the organization. </li><li>Lead architecture review boards and govern adherence to architectural principles, cloud best practices, and cybersecurity standards. </li><li>Align architectural decisions with enterprise strategy, operational efficiency goals, and regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, data residency for insurance). </li></ul> <p>Cloud Architecture (Azure & AWS)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and oversee hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).</p> </li><li> <p>Architect solutions using cloud-native services such as:</p> </li><li> <p>Azure: Functions, Logic Apps, APIM, Event Grid, Service Bus, Azure SQL, AKS, Synapse, ADF</p> </li><li> <p>AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, RDS, EKS, Step Functions</p> </li><li> <p>Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including legacy application re-platforming, containerization, serverless patterns, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).</p> </li></ul> <p>Integration & API Architecture</p> <ul> <li>Develop enterprise integration strategies using modern interfaces including REST, GraphQL, event-driven architecture, and microservices. </li><li>Lead the design and governance of enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Azure API Management, Camel, SnapLogic, Boomi, or similar). </li><li>Establish standards for API design, versioning, security, reusable services, and data movement across core insurance systems (policy, claims, billing, underwriting workbenches, etc.). </li><li>Architect real-time and asynchronous integration patterns supporting global operations and high-volume transactional systems. </li></ul> <p>UI / UX Architecture</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance on modern UI frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Blazor) and set enterprise standards for frontend development. </li><li>Partner with design teams to ensure consistent, intuitive, responsive interfaces across underwriting, claims, actuarial, and customer-facing portals. </li><li>Promote modular front-end architecture, micro-frontends, and reusable UI components. </li></ul> <p>Workflow & Automation Architecture</p> <ul> <li>Architect enterprise workflow solutions using platforms such as n8n, Power Automate, Appian, or similar tools. </li><li>Define workflow orchestration patterns, business rule engines, case management models, and automation frameworks. </li><li>Lead initiatives to digitize manual processes, streamline underwriting/claims operations, and deliver straight-through-processing. </li></ul> <p>Enterprise Data Architecture (Supporting)</p> <ul> <li>Influence and collaborate on data architecture, including data lakes, reporting pipelines, MDM, and data governance. </li><li>Promote data accessibility through well-architected APIs, event streams, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. </li></ul> <p>Technical Leadership & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Act as a trusted advisor to CIO, Division Managers, and business domain leaders. </li><li>Mentor engineering teams provide guidance on architectural decisions, tooling, DevOps, and best practices. </li><li>Lead technical assessments, RFP selections, cloud/security reviews, and POC evaluations. </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). </li><li>10+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with at least 5 years as an Enterprise Architect or senior solution architect. </li><li>Deep expertise in Azure and AWS cloud platforms. </li><li>Strong experience with enterprise integration, API design, and event-driven systems. </li><li>Hands-on knowledge of modern UI development frameworks. </li><li>Expertise in workflow automation/orchestration platforms. </li><li>Proven experience architecting solutions in regulated, global enterprises-preferably in commercial insurance, financial services, or similar industries. </li><li>Strong understanding of security architecture, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and cloud governance. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with underwriting, claims, policy administration, billing or rating platforms.</p> </li><li> <p>Certifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Azure Solutions Architect Expert</p> </li><li> <p>AWS Certified Solutions Architect -
