We are a dedicated team, committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of our customers and communities.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Bank Teller is responsible for providing excellent customer service, conducting financial transactions accurately, and promoting bank products and services. The ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of banking procedures.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Customer Service: Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner, understands their needs, and provides appropriate solutions. Assists customers with account inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, and other general banking transactions. Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly resolving any issues or concerns. </li><li>Cash Handling: Accurately counts, receives, and disburses cash, checks, and other financial instruments. Ensures cash drawer balances at the beginning and end of each shift, follows the bank's cash handling policies and procedures. </li><li>Transaction Processing: Performs various banking transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, and traveler's checks. Ensures all transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. </li><li>Recognizes and uses cross-sales opportunities to generate qualified referrals. </li><li>Has responsibility for following regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC to assist in the identification, detection and determent of money laundering or other unlawful activities. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>General Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. </li><li>A minimum of 1 year Teller experience and /or customer service experience including cash handling. </li><li>Experience in Jack Henry or similar platforms is beneficial. </li><li>A general knowledge of basic mathematical calculations and techniques is required. </li><li>An overall knowledge of typical bank-related products and services is strongly preferred. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license for the state in which they reside. </li></ul> <p>Physical & Mental Demands</p> <p>Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to work the days and hours required to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Quick thinking, adaptability and exercise discretion when necessary.</p>
