We take great pride in our world class customer service, making the finest quality products, and providing customers, tourists and business travelers with a unique, enriching experience not found at any other distillery in the world.</p> <p>Job Description/Responsibilities</p> <p>Why This Role Is Exciting</p> <p>In this role, you'll:</p> <p>Lead a high-impact team responsible for managing thousands of barrels of aging whiskey Develop leadership skills while working directly with experienced operations leaders Solve real operational challenges and drive process improvements Work in a historic distillery that blends tradition with modern production systems Build a career path in operations leadership</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Lead the Warehouse Team</p> <ul> <li>Supervise daily barrel warehouse operations and union personnel </li><li>Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety </li><li>Support employee development and maintain positive labor relations </li></ul> <p>Keep Operations Running Smoothly</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate barrel and whiskey movements using inventory and tracking systems </li><li>Manage inventory control, cycle counting, and warehouse logistics </li><li>Ensure operations meet production schedules and department goals </li></ul> <p>Champion Safety & Quality</p> <ul> <li>Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with personal safety, food safety, environmental, and quality standards </li><li>Maintain the highest standards for whiskey quality and handling </li></ul> <p>Improve How We Work</p> <ul> <li>Partner with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment and operational challenges </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes </li><li>Lead or support continuous improvement projects </li></ul> <p>Grow as a Leader</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with the Barrel Warehouse Manager to build leadership, operations, and technical skills </li><li>Gain experience in team management, production operations, and regulatory compliance </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Requirements</p> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills </li><li>Excellent organization and planning ability </li><li>Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) </li><li>Passion for safety, quality, and continuous improvement </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with teams across operations and maintenance </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environments </li><li>Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools </li><li>Familiarity with regulatory standards such as OSHA, FDA, or TTB </li><li>Interest in building a long-term career in operations leadership </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Our warehouse operations are active industrial environments.</p> <p>You should be comfortable:</p> <ul> <li>Lifting up to 50 lbs </li><li>Working 8+ hour shifts with occasional overtime </li><li>Operating in loud, humid environments around moving equipment </li><li>Maintaining strong attention to detail and quality standards </li></ul> <p>Join the Legacy</p> <p>At Buffalo Trace Distillery, every barrel tells a story.
