<p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in the negotiations for purchases, materials and services required by the company at the best price, highest quality and best delivery possible consistent with corporate policies and procedures. </li><li>Accomplishes sourcing primary, and where applicable, a secondary list of approved vendors for type of products assigned. Enters and manages purchase orders in Corridor system. </li><li>Continuously monitors orders for delivery schedules, price changes, or other changes to the purchase order and promptly advises department originating order of current delivery status. </li><li>Works with customers and vendors to make the appropriate shipping modes to ascertain timely deliveries of parts. </li><li>Maintains the integrity and validity of the open purchase order reports and records, which includes part numbers, pricing, delivery dates, etc. </li><li>Interfaces and coordinates material requirements, lead times, optimum purchase quantities and prices with the supervisor to maximize the service level to users. </li><li>Communicates with user groups to determine potential change in usage patterns or possible phase out of current items demands. </li><li>Maintains working knowledge of all interfacing areas within the company to insure continuity of material and paperwork flow. </li><li>Engage vendors and suppliers to determine make vs. buying options, as well as finding solutions for operations. </li><li>Gathers required communication and information for all parts and work orders. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Knowledge of purchasing to include demand management, sourcing, and/or supplier relationship management with preference to the aviation field or the ability to learn. </li><li>Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Maintain effective working relationships with vendors and company personnel at all levels. </li><li>Strong skills in data analytics, creating and communicating reports, etc. </li></ul>
