<p>Toledo Clinic's Cardiology Department is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to work M-F, 8-5.</p> <p>Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.</p> <p>General Summary:</p> <p>Works collaboratively with the provider to room patients in a timely manner.</p> <p>Proficient in chart prepping prior to the patient's arrival.</p> <p>Easily navigate electronic medical record.</p> <p>Ability to perform EKGs.</p> <p>Assist patients over the phone and performs various clerical duties.</p> <p>Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Example of Essential Duties:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).</p> </li><li> <p>At the request of the physician, sending in prescription refills.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.</p> </li><li> <p>Handle physician schedules.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills required. </li><li>Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame. </li><li>Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. </li><li>Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. </li><li>Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i.e.: CMA or RMA) </li><li>Medicare Exclusion List </li><li>Adheres to clinic's policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Clinical medical assisting experience preferred. </li></ul>
