<ul> <li>License to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey. </li><li>Board certification in general pediatrics. </li><li>Board certification or eligibility for certification by the ABEM. </li><li>Completion of a 3-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in child abuse pediatrics. </li><li>Demonstrated competence in hospital practice. </li><li>Comply with all Departmental and Medical Staff Policies and Procedures. </li><li>Provide Emergency Department and inpatient consultation for patients presenting with child protection issues, including but not limited to alleged physical abuse, sexual abuse, institutional abuse and neglect. </li><li>Evaluate other medical conditions that may have a relative immediate impact on the patient's well-being and order diagnostic activities necessary to evaluate an initiate management of the emergency patient and presenting complaints. </li><li>Coordinate activities of medical and other personnel engaged in rendering medical, or child protection related to treatment of patients and determine need for admission/discharge and/or follow up of the patient. </li><li>Coordinate with child protection teams (e.g., Social Work, New Jersey Children and Families and the Prosecutor's office). </li><li>Provide consultative and advisory services to clinicians as requested. </li><li>Maintain necessary and appropriate and timely documentation for all services provided in compliance with regulatory and hospital policies. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul>
