<p>This position is responsible for overseeing criminal defendants' release while awaiting adjudication.</p> <ol> <li> <p> Maintain accurate and up to date case files on all assigned defendants.</p> </li><li> <p> Gather information about defendants, conduct interviews, and prepare reports to assist the court in making informed decisions.</p> </li><li> <p> Monitor and document defendants' compliance with court-ordered conditions of release, which may include curfews compliance, travel restrictions, substance abuse testing, and more.</p> </li><li> <p> Maintain regular contact with defendants through various means (phone, in-person, etc.), to guide defendant's compliance with court orders. </p> </li><li> <p> Attend court hearings and provide testimony regarding a defendant's compliance or violations with release conditions. </p> </li><li> <p> Maintain a professional relationship with the attorneys, court staff, treatment providers, bonding companies and law enforcement.</p> </li><li> <p> Collaborate with mental health, substance abuse, and other community-based treatment providers to ensure defendants have access to needed recourses.</p> </li><li> <p> Report non-compliance of the court's orders to the appropriate authority.</p> </li><li> <p> Prepare detailed written reports documenting progress, compliance, or violations.</p> </li><li> <p> Implement evidenced-based supervision strategies that are tailored to individual needs and using varied techniques to promote community safety. </p> </li><li> <p> May coordinate the Installation or removal of electronic monitoring devices as required by the court.</p> </li><li> <p> Responsible for monitoring drug testing compliance.</p> </li></ol> <p>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of experience in the field of criminal justice.</p> <p>Knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice process. </p> <p>Knowledge of courtroom procedures in criminal courts.</p> <p>Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.</p> <p>Knowledge of available community resource agencies.</p> <p>Ability to remain impartial and maintain confidentiality</p> <p>Ability to deal firmly but courteously with the public.</p> <p>Ability to practice and use good judgment in a variety of situations.</p> <p>Ability to operate security devices/systems.</p> <p>Ability to enforce rules, regulations, and policies. </p> <p>Ability to perform simple clerical work.</p> <p>Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.</p> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</p>
